Principal’s Message
Here we are into May already; the year is flying past! May brings with it some regular school events and we are happy to be able to provide these experiences for students. Coming up this month will be sports (interschool), our own track and field for grades 3-8, city track, field trips and end of year celebrations!
I will list the events that I am aware of at this time in the Dates of Interest for May & June so families can prepare.
We ask that parents do not drop students off before the 8:45 bell as there is no supervision until that time.
Please remember to send your child to school with appropriate outdoor wear & some ways to keep themselves protected on sunny days!
With restrictions lifted we just want to remind parents that they should continue to ensure students are feeling well before coming to school and keep in mind that students will still have to go home if they are feeling unwell. Thank you for continuing to monitor their health prior to the school day beginning!
This year staff and students will focus on a character trait each month. For the month of May HCCS will be focusing on responsibility. Please keep our character education initiatives in mind and speak to your child about what it looks like, feels like and sounds like. Building strong character helps students develop life-long skills that will lead them to success.
